Detective Superintendent Andrew "Andy" Dalziel and Detective Sergeant, later Detective Inspector, Peter Pascoe are Yorkshire detectives featuring in a series of novels by Reginald Hill. Dalziel is old-school, preferring tried-and true methods, and is depicted as being rude, insensitive and blunt.
